Fulfilling Long Wait Requirements with the Rare Earths

The gods? emerge at the end of the long wait in sacrificial satisfaction (Europium) and must mature into evangelical predation (Gadolinium) before the animas can develop further. This is enough for the Institutional Balance's limited needs from set of gods. Because gods are such a high-level sub-sub-entity, the individual never needs a more fully developed set on which to base its conception of self.

Fulfilling Long Wait Requirements

It is interesting to ask whether the gods so emergent fulfill the requirements of the first long wait: facilitation of sub-selves, compatibility with evangelical predation, and ability to address the anima.

The fundamental purpose of gods is to create sub-selves. So, the first requirement is fulfilled easily. The internal self is the fundamental beneficiary of this strengthening of its own creative process. Because others cannot apprend the sub-selves directly the internal self can easily manipulate its own understanding of the subselves created by the gods to benefit itself to the damage of others. Thus compatibility with evangelical predation is fulfilled. Since the gods are the only entity aware of events internal to self, it is the only entity capable of directly addressing the anima or internal self.

Thus we can predict that gods will be particularly adept at appealing to a broad range developmental levels, which certainly accords with our experience in the real world. Note that such gods are not limited to entities which we usually associate with religions. Any emergent entity which facilitates the acceptance and understanding of sub-selves of any type (from souls to ids to animas to a subconscious) can be considered gods in this context.

Thus we should not be surprised to see psychological theories such as those of Freud and Jung which postulate sub-selves develop with a kind of evangelical fervor not unlike that usually reserved for true religions.

Two periods down from Iron, Cobalt and Nickel under Ruthenium, Rhodium and Palladium another kind of emergent sub-entity arises in the Genesis of Human Rights.
