Immortal Statistics
Every User who plays FaerieMUD is embodied in a Spirit, each of which has three "immortal" statistics. These statistics are arranged in the same way a character or other animated object's primary statistics are, and when one of the primary statistics advances, the corresponding immortal statistic may improve, as well.
Once any statistic reaches a sufficient amount, the character becomes able to use new proficiencies which use those statistics as determinants. (Just what a "sufficient amount" is has yet to be determined - Ged.) (I suspect there will be different "sufficient amounts" for different proficiencies. Maybe they are only abilities each of which resides at a particular place on immortal statistic's periodic table which could then be the "sufficient amount" for that particular task - Scotus)
The three additional statistics are: Divinity, Incarnativity, and Kenning. These three statistics function in a slightly different fashion than the mortal character statistics, in that there are no associated attributes. Immortal actions are determined solely by the values of one or more of the statistics directly.
Divinity is the statistic which governs the ability of an immortal to affect the world through magic and creativity. The linear aspect of it is called Influence. It is associated with Karma in the character/s controlled by the Spirit involved.
Incarnativity governs the ability of an immortal to manifest herself materially in the world. The linear aspect of it is called Presence. It is associated with Vitality in the character.
The ability of an immortal to communicate with the world, and her ability to view the world at an increased level of detail is governed by the statistic called Kenning, the linear aspect of which is Cognizance. It is associated with Perspicacity in the character.
